The nursing profession shortage is getting worse.
A report from Ohio says that the average ages of nurses there is 48. Also, 40% of nurses there will retire within 15 years.
There are not enough instructors in the U.S. to prepare nurses for work. 40,000 applicants for nursing school were turned away.
The Comprehensive Nursing Education Bill was signed into force in late December 2009. This bill provides more money to train nurses in Ohio.
